At home sessions are quickly becoming my new favourite thing. There’s a relaxed, intimacy about them that you can really feel. I love seeing the way couples decorate their home. The photographs and bits of memories they display on their walls and tables all the little things that make up who they are. I was so glad when Alex and Jenny decided to have an intimate at home engagement session. I’ve photographed a lot of Toronto engagement sessions, but this one felt different from the rest. For them this engagement session took place at their first home together. It’s where Alex makes Jenny coffee every morning and where they come home from their busy day of training clients to make dinner together. When you’re around these two you can really feel how much they value each other.
A little about them; Alex and Jenny first met through friends. She invited him to workout class she was teaching and soon he became a regular. A year later he got down on one knee in the middle of Times Square with all the big screens above them flashing the words “Will you marry me, Jenny?” Unreal, right? These two really know how to celebrate their love. I’m so glad they chose me to document this part of their lives for them.
