Friends! I am so excited to share this next surprise proposal with you. I have photographed a number of proposals in Toronto, but this one was the first surprise proposal AND surprise engagement party I’ve photographed. It was also special to me, because the planner was one of my good friends, Kinga and her sister, Karolina.
A little back story, Kinga and her sister’s boyfriend, Pawel spent six months planning this proposal in Toronto. Karolina and Pawel live in Poland and visit Toronto annually. On the day of the proposal, Kinga told Karolina they were going out to a musical that evening. Karolina got beautified at Radford Studio. On the way to the theatre Kinga said they had to make a quick stop to pick up a guest. Little did Karolina know Pawel along with her close family and friends were waiting at the tower of the Broadview Hotel.
It took a team to sneak this surprise past her, but it was all worth it. The team of friends and vendors worked tirelessly to get the proposal set up just in time for her to walk up to the rooftop. Karolina looked confused at first, wondering why Pawel was the at the Broadview Hotel, but once she realized what was happening her face said it all. Seeing the look on Karolina’s face when she realized Pawel was proposing, to the hugs and tears from her family afterwards made my heart melt. It’s amazing how love brings people together and gives reason to celebration.
Kinga’s creativity and eye for detail really made this surprise proposal and engagement party truly special. She thought of every detail and created the designs on all the posters on the walls.
